The new PC4000-11 features a powerful diesel engine from Komatsu, specifically the SDA16V160E. It is rated at 1,400 kW and operates at 1,800 rpm (revolutions per minute). The machinery features an SCR system, electronic engine management, low engine emission levels, EPA Tier 4 certification, and a time-saving engine oil management system with a reserve oil supply and an oil filter eliminator system.

It offers features such as easy and safe maintenance, a common-sense and straightforward design that provides easy access to all major components, generous access to all major service points from the machinery house floor level, automatic central lubrication, and a KOMTRAX plus electronic monitoring system that provides real-time information about the machine's operating status. It offers higher productivity and is designed to handle more tons per hour, featuring a powerful digging force and a proven attachment design. It has a longer life and a low operating cost by design. This occurs due to a robust structural design developed through field experience and finite element analysis.
