South Asia's largest construction equipment trade fair, Excon 2025 was held at BIEC Ground, Bengaluru from December 9-13, 2025 focusing on sustainable, AI-driven and smart construction technologies. Marking 20 years of Komatsu in India, and aligning with the theme of the event, introduced and delivered an impressive showcase on technology leadership at Excon, outlining its vision for Smart Construction and future of advanced construction.
This breakthrough was made possible through Komatsu’s Teleoperation Cockpit and Humanoid Robot system, reinforcing the company’s leadership in advanced construction technologies. Through its Smart Construction initiatives, Komatsu enables remote operations, improves jobsite efficiency, and supports the development of safer and more sustainable infrastructure solutions. To reinforce the commitment to support India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure landscape with intelligent, safer and more efficient digital technologies and the major highlight was the live demonstration of remote operations, were Komatsu excavator located in Japan was operated seamlessly from Bengaluru, spanning over 6,700 kilometres.
Impressive display of Humanoid Robot in Komatsu stall pulled the crowd and the team was explaining its features of digital and physical tasks addressing labour shortages and reduced work hours. These robots will increase the productivity, result to lower costs, and enhance safety by operating remotely in hazardous environments – especially during disasters such as land slides, earthquakes, and typhoons where human access is unsafe.
Komatsu also featured the newly launched Komatsu PC225 heavy-duty excavator, designed with enhanced stability and superior lifting performance. The Komatsu PC390 was showcased with its dual-model concept tailored for heavy-duty applications, while Komatsu’s commitment to sustainability was highlighted through the HB365 Hybrid Excavator. Additionally, Komatsu targeted the compact equipment segment with a virtual launch of the PC30 mini excavator, addressing growing demand for compact solutions. Also, the range of excavators PC81, PC136, PC210-10M0 the flagship model of Komatsu India was also displayed along with the imported models – GD535, D85ESS and the Mini Excavator PC35MR. Komatsu India was clear in their objectives and focused on the digital transformation and the stall was attracted with large number of visitors and customers.
Overall, Excon 2025 13th edition was successfully wrapped up by covering 3.5 million sq. ft., area, attracted over 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants from 20 countries, resulting to 300+ product launches and live demonstration, drew an estimated 1.2 lakh business visitors, solidifying its rank as the third largest construction equipment expo worldwide.
